Fifty years ago, cameras rolled across Georgia to film Smokey and the Bandit. No one realized they were creating one of America's most beloved movies.
Beginning on the 50th anniversary of the first day of filming, Y'all Come will retrace that journey—returning to the original filming locations as close as possible to the dates the cast and crew were there in 1976.
Along the way we'll celebrate the people who made the movie possible, document the locations that still remain, and gather the stories that continue to keep its legacy alive.

What is Y'all Come?
Y'all Come isn't a convention.
It isn't a car show.
It isn't a guided tour.
It's a six-week journey through Georgia following the original production schedule of Smokey and the Bandit.
Each stop explores a different chapter of the film's history through filming locations, behind-the-scenes stories, historic photographs, guest appearances, and the people who remember when Hollywood came to town.
Some gatherings will be simple meetups. Others include dinners, cruises, presentations, or special events.
Come for one day—or as many as you'd like.
Why We're Doing This
Nearly fifty years later, Smokey and the Bandit still brings people together.
Fans continue restoring the cars, preserving the trucks, visiting filming locations, and introducing the movie to new generations.
We want to document not only how the movie was made—but why it still matters.
Every story, photograph, and memory helps preserve an important piece of movie history.
